Come Together at the CCC 4.0 in Portland This Week

January 22, 2018 — The Fourth incarnation of the popular Cannabis Collaborative Conference, or CCC 4.0, is happening Wednesday and Thursday at the Portland Expo Center once again. With an impressive lineup of speakers, including Congressman Earl Blumenauer of Portland, its an important event. The “mainstream” media will be there, too, which provides a unique opportunity to show one united front from the regulated industry in the Pacific Northwest.

Congressman Blumenhaur will be speaking directly to the recent guidance handed down by U.S. Attorney General Jeff sessions. His insights will help us understand the possible problems and ongoing fight at the federal level. Listen to his special audio message at the end of this article.

The Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC), the organization that controls recreational cannabis in the state, will be presenting at the event and likely answer questions from attendees. At 9:00a.m. Wednesday OLCC Executive Director Steve Marks and Washington State Liquor Control Board Director Rick Garza will talk about the launch of Oregon and Washington’s regulated cannabis markets, changes we have seen in the regulatory structure, and, most critically, what the future holds now due to recent Federal guidance. Following that there will be a OLCC panel of policy experts will also present an overview of recent rule and program changes.

The conference also hosts an investors workshop and summit on Tuesday, January 22 where you can learn the ins and outs of investing. They will also have a “Pitch Portal” featured at the event where businesses provide their business ideas for investors to fund, and for others to see.
