Complete with all the trimmings, a Christmas tree graced the living room of a house that was searched by police in Cheltenham, England, on Wednesday, December 21st. It was covered in red ribbons and had a golden angel mounted to the top.

The police tweeted an image after finding the decoration and disclosed, “Not your traditional Xmas Tree! Two arrested in Cheltenham on suspicion of cannabis cultivation,” it said on Twitter.

From the Gloucestershire Live:

“Officers have seen the festive side in their latest drugs raid in Gloucestershire.

“The raid at a house in Gloucester Street in Cheltenham resulted in the find of a small cannabis farm – as well as a Christmas tree.

“It was shouting out for a quick picture – and the officers obliged holding some less than common Christmas ‘decorations’.”

Both of the people arrested made bail and are scheduled to return to court in February. The area has seen a large number of “drug raids” in recent years, according to the local media.

We’d all be better off if the police focused on crimes that have actual victims.

Does anyone honestly believe that wasting $20 Billion and arresting 3/4 Million Americans annually for choosing a substance proven to be safer than what the govt allows, is a sound policy?
