A large grow in rural Texas was raided by law enforcement on Thursday, September 15th. The multiple fields were discovered located in Robertson County, near Kosse, Texas. They were hidden in the wooded areas and being watered by a elaborate generator, pump and drip line system. A camp where the growers had been living was also found, but no one was there and the suspects are still at large.

The Sheriff’s office reported 5,900 plants were seized were nearly 6 feet tall, and they say the resulting crop would have been worth an estimated 2.9 million dollars.
“This is the largest we have ever seized. Before this one was five years ago in the Benchley area,” said Sheriff Gerald Yezak of Robertson County explained to KBTX Channel 3 in College Station Texas. “This was a piece of land that was not in any type of use. It was heavily wooded, and they went in there and had their grow operation.”
Multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the operation, including deputies from neighboring McLennan and Leon Counties.
